This sulfur-rich veggie ( smelly off course) is actually a great food for gums. It helps in neutralizing the oral bacteria. You can add onions to your diet in several forms such as salads, sandwiches, soups,  etc.

Popular for multiple health benefits, green tea is known for its healing properties and amazing anti-inflammatory and anti-bacterial properties. The presence of antioxidants called catechins, which helps in fighting gum inflammation caused by oral bacteria and cavities. 3. Leafy greens

leafy greens are loaded with vitamins and minerals. In fact, the presence of vitamin C, helps in increasing the production of RBC in the body, thereby reducing the inflammation. Consuming leafy greens helps in reducing and preventing various teeth and gum ailments.

4. Citrus fruits

Fruits containing vitamin C, oranges, kiwis, pineapple and lime helps to make your gums strong.

5. Milk, yogurt, and cheese

Dairy products are great for teeth because they are high in calcium, a mineral that helps to strengthen bone, but they are also great for your gums. A protein called casein that is found in most dairy products helps to neutralize oral acids that are produced by bacteria in the mouth.

Foods like celery, carrots, and apples happen to be high in fiber, which, again, means they take longer to chew and generate more saliva. Saliva is great for flushing the mouth of bacteria near the gum line.

7. Vitamin D

Egg yolks, mushrooms, and most fish are excellent sources of the vitamin D you need to absorb calcium, which builds and maintains healthy teeth.
